I saw something like this in a presentation at the MIT Media Lab a few years ago (2016?). It's impressive, but it was a little glitchy and it felt overkill for the tasks that they were being used on. However, I'd guess that new products and ideas will proliferate if we somehow develop incredibly small and powerful projectors. Something that could be attached to a table, or even to your smartphone, and result in the same experience. I'd certainly want that :)
