We know the mortality rate to a degree. Mortality rate is number of deaths over the number of instances. If you have limits on the accuracy of the denominator you have limits on the accuracy of mortality rate.
Sero studies like this one suggest to how many infections of the virus we have been missing.
- IgorPartola 6y agoThis study doesn’t suggest any number of infections. We don’t know if by any definition people who have these antibodies had a COVID infection or not. We know deaths / symptomatic infections really well due to the large numbers involved.
