That’s awesome. I did have a brief look at using the half rate GSM codec and I got it running. But it did take almost all the CPU with not much left over for anything else. The ESP32 does have two cores though so you could have one core dedicated to encoding and put everything else on the other core. The other option I’m looking at is SBC which is supposed to be lightweight. Opus looks very promising.
