This is such an old project. Myself and a group of friends cooked this up some time around late June of 2010, but once the novelty wore off, we realized it probably wasn't feasible. Like a few people here have stated, wifi repeaters simply can't provide enough range and transfer speed to reliably cover more than a very small area. I'm not sure how you dredged this up, but I'm flattered. Maybe someone taking a whack at a similar project can learn from our approach. - Michael, OmegaSDG
