That is how I remember kindergarten here in Denmark as well. Lots of playtime, songs, puppet theatre, cooking/baking, board games, learning to tie your shoelaces, that sort of thing. We've also had forest kindergartens for some years now, and if the missus and I ever have kids, they will 100% be attending one of those.
