I don’t know a lot about the delivery business. I would be surprised if UPS, FedEx and other on the road all day jobs don’t do this too.

- IAmGraydon 6y agoMy thought too. Where else would a delivery driver pee?
- gtvwill 6y agoUm not sure what part of the world your in. But in aus. We pull over and stop at a bathroom. Or like...you know go during one of your mandated stops if your driving HR an up. Rules are real strict on this. Pissong while driving is unsafe.
- sundaeofshock 6y agoMost likely the United States. We have very few public bathrooms here. Damn near impossible to find a place to take a piss.
- gtvwill 6y agoWoah! Really? I'm surprised you don't have something like this https://toiletmap.gov.au/ https://toiletmap.gov.au/ 19k Public loos mapped for your convenience :)
- IAmGraydon 6y agoCorrect...in the US. There really aren’t public restrooms and most stores won’t let you use theirs unless you’re buying something.
- mcphage 6y agoGas stations usually do.
- ModernMech 6y agoMy father worked for UPS for 30 years and according to him neither he nor anyone at his hub had to do this. UPS is unionized, and it shows. He made enough for our mother to stay home and take care of us, to afford a 3 acre plot of land with a 2500 sq ft house, 2 cars, UPS stock, a pension, and enough to put his two kids through college. It was a career for him, and that was thanks to his union. I can't imagine any Amazon driver making money like that doing essentially what is the same job. The UPS CEO isn't the richest person in the world, and not even a billionaire. Think that's a coincidence? That's not to say they didn't work him hard. He'd leave home at 6:00am and not be home until 9:00 sometimes during Christmas. But they paid him fairly and didn't exploit him like Amazon does. Amazon isn't even admitting to anything here - they're blaming Covid and rural routes, not the way they treat their contractors. The exploitation is unabashed.
- missedthecue 6y agoYour father very well may have had a route that allowed him to make easy restroom stops, but it's pretty easy to disprove your assertion. The official UPS drivers forum is completely filled with posts about peeing in bottles. They're not even complaining, just casually discussing, because it's an every-day part of the job. https://www.browncafe.com/community/threads/what-do-you-do-with-your-bottle-at-the-end-of-the-day.373670/ https://www.browncafe.com/community/threads/what-do-you-do-w... https://www.browncafe.com/community/threads/urine-bottles.360713/ https://www.browncafe.com/community/threads/urine-bottles.36... https://www.browncafe.com/community/threads/urine-bottles-left-in-cages-cars-and-on-floor.84464/ https://www.browncafe.com/community/threads/urine-bottles-le... "The UPS CEO isn't the richest person in the world, and not even a billionaire. Think that's a coincidence?" No, it's because he's an employee and not the founder of the company. Bezos is the founder and that's why he's got a big net worth. He owns 9% of a ~$2 trillion company.
