It's Time to Revisit the Satanic Panic
- AndrewBissell 6y agoFor an alternative view on this subject, I recommend Subliminal Jihad's podcast episodes on Michael Aquino, an open Satanist and US Army colonel who wrote the book on psychological operations, had significant ties to various NATO bigwigs, and was credibly accused by numerous children in the Presidio daycare scandal: https://www.soundcloud.com/subliminaljihad/03-aquino-part-i https://www.soundcloud.com/subliminaljihad/03-aquino-part-i https://www.soundcloud.com/subliminaljihad/04-american-mindwarrior-ii-the-inquisition-of-ipsissimus-ltc-dr-michael-aquino-final https://www.soundcloud.com/subliminaljihad/04-american-mindw... He used to have his own Wikipedia article, but now if you try to find it you're redirected to the "Temple of Set" article.
- michaelmrose 6y agoPodcasts are lengthy to view, difficult to review, and not generally maximally credible without other sources do you have any credible sources at all on the matter?
- kaliali 6y agohttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_of_Set https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_of_Set The Temple of Set is an occult initiatory order founded in 1975. A new religious movement and form of Western esotericism, the Temple espouses a religion known as Setianism, whose practitioners are called Setians. The Temple was established in the United States in 1975 by Michael Aquino, an American political scientist, military officer, and a high-ranking member of Anton LaVey's Church of Satan. Dyrendal 2012, p. 379; Hume & Drury 2013, p. 151. Dyrendal ISBN 978-0-19-518110-4. ... Born in 1946, Michael Aquino was a military intelligence officer specializing in psychological warfare.[12] Gardell 2003, p. 290. Gardell, Matthias (2003). Gods of the Blood: The Pagan Revival and White Separatism. Durham and London: Duke University Press. ISBN 978-0-8223-3071-4. ... Aquino possessed a P.h.D. in political science and this formal education was reflected in the way that he presented his arguments, in which he draws broadly upon Western philosophy and science. - AndrewBissell 6y agoSome additional good reading on Aquino here: http://visupview.blogspot.com/2017/04/ http://visupview.blogspot.com/2017/04/ "... A three-year-old girl, reportedly molested at the Army's Presidio day-care Center in San Francisco, had fingered Aquino as the same 'Mikey' who photographed her in the nude and sexually abused her in a black-painted room with a cross on the ceiling. On August 14, 1987, Aquino's home was raided by police detectives, FBI agents, and members of the Army's Criminal Investigation Division. Several carloads of 'evidence' were seized and what Aquino called a 'modern witch-hunt in the most classical sense,' but no charges were ever filed against Aquino or any member of his church. In April 1989, Aquino filed formal complaints against to SFPD detectives involved in the raid, and police commissioners sustained the complaints in November 1990. Detective Sandi Gallant was 'counseled' to avoid derogatory comments on Aquino's church or lifestyle, while Detective Glen Pamfiloff got a written reprimand for his conduct on the 1987 raid." (Raising Hell, Michael Newton, pgs. 19-20) ... "We are fortunate that the Auschwitz taboo prevents people from looking too closely at... Nazi Germany, or from experimenting with any of its regular governmental doctrines. Because they work. They are the essence of true political power. Anti-Semitism is irrelevant to them... It is ironically true that a right-wing backlash in the United States – which is what the neo-Nazis are hoping for – would wipe them out first. If an American Fuehrer does appear, he won't be wearing a uniform with a swastika armband. He will wear a business suit, and he will be calling popular attention to the patriotic virtues in 1776." (Michael Aquino, taken from Arthur Lyons' Satan Wants You, pg. 174)
- AndrewBissell 6y ago"Preschool child sex abuse: The aftermath of the Presidio case": https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1580341/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1580341/ Also worth reviewing the genesis and activities of the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, which for years pushed a now-debunked position that children are commonly implanted with false memories of abuse by their parents and therapists. It had such leading lights as Alan Dershowitz (now accused by rape by one of Jeffrey Epstein's victims) and Louis Jolyon West, one of the foremost researchers in the CIA's MKULTRA mind control program. It collapsed in 2019, a good review of its history is here: https://news.isst-d.org/the-rise-and-fall-of-the-false-memory-syndrome-foundation/ https://news.isst-d.org/the-rise-and-fall-of-the-false-memor...
- michaelmrose 6y agoWith no successful prosecution I find such claims difficult to swallow. Trying to draw connections to such conspiracy theory favorites as MKULTRA, the CIA, Epstein, etc isn't persuasive either. The best lies are built around a kernel of truth. A psychology study that presumed it happened also doesn't serve to answer the question did it happen in the first place. ISSTD appears to promote a wide variety of crazziness including government mind control and the illuminati. Feel free to provide a persuasive source that it did in fact happen that doesn't also believe in the Easter Bunny.
- AndrewBissell 6y ago> With no successful prosecution I find such claims difficult to swallow. lol ok then > Trying to draw connections to such conspiracy theory favorites as MKULTRA, the CIA, Epstein, etc isn't persuasive either. I'm not "trying," the connections are there. The FMSF was a key player in getting the media to adopt a standard line from the early 1990s onward that any allegations of organized child abuse must be false and concocted. And cases like Epstein's are relevant to a thread about child abuse and questions around whether it is real and whether we can rely on "successful prosecutions" to confirm or deny it. > ISSTD appears to promote a wide variety of crazziness including government mind control and the illuminati. I searched in vain for a reference to Illuminati on the ISSTD website, do you have a link? > ... that doesn't also believe in the Easter Bunny. Ah yes, the old "all conspiracy theories are the same as Flat Earth" trope.
- metalforever 6y agoNo, let’s not . I don’t want the cops harassing my friends for not being the right religion . Again.
- AndrewBissell 6y agoDon't worry, the article takes the mainstream position that Satanism, to the extent it even exists, is nothing but edgelordery for harmless fun.
- metalforever 6y agoSatanism doesn't really exist in that way. There's a few edgelords that kind of practice what you would think about as "Satanism", mostly affiliated with the Temple of Set or the people doing the Goetia. However, the vast, vast majority of the folks being harassed are just garden-variety pagans. But honestly, its none of people's business. No one that's pagan is out there doing these outrageously awful things people are claiming. Those are predators. Target predators. Don't target pagan people.
- Klwohu 6y agoInterestingly, the Satanic Panic was mainly dismissed because the tunnels the children described were said by the FBI not to exist. Then, a year or so back, the FBI released more documentation on the Satanic Oanic indicating the tunnels DID exist, and there was Satanic paraphernalia found down there. But the FBI at the time decided to inject the tunnels with concrete and lie and say the kids just imagined it. Now I haven’t read the article, but does it mention the newer documents which prove the kids were telling the truth, and that the Satanic Panic had legs?
- xyzzy21 6y agoWoke and Cancelling IS McMartin all over again; precisely. I used to live and work near Manhattan Beach (where McMartin was located) and it was obviously an irrational panic from the very beginning! The moment they started talking about "secret tunnels to torture chambers" it went off the deep end - you could drive by the location and without even having a Civil Engineering degree see that it was 100% BS. Just like lives are ruined by Woke today, so the completely innocent McMartins were ruined and destroyed as well.
