- mempko 6y agoYou are right that there is some good soil in northern areas. I guess the general question is, is the soil health at more northern latitudes healthy enough to replace the loss of growing in the lower latitudes.
- trynumber9 6y agoFor the top of lower 48, sun angle is literally the same as southern France... Really we're not that far north.
- bruiseralmighty 6y agoIsn't there a good chance that Southern soil deposits are depleted given the intensity of Agriculture? Hard to know, but there is a decent chance that the migration of Agriculture further North could create even more food due to richer untapped soil. Global-scale crop rotation.
