ICOs were much less regulated, but I don't think this significantly helped honest people to raise money. Scam to honest company ratio was simply to high in such an environment.
- makomk 6y agoICOs were regulated - they were covered by the same regulations that applied to stock sales. The only real way to avoid the consequences of that was for US Government not to be able to track down the people involved in creating and promoting them. Naturally, this didn't encourage the creation of honest and non-scammy ICOs.
