I had been looking to do this exact thing for so long. It didn't occur to me that it was possible to unlock the AT commands for the pinephone. I just wanted to turn it into a modem. It's a pretty solid price for that piece of tech alone, since dev kit LTE modem boards are >$100 in all the places I could find. Thank you, sincerely!
