Ah I remember when it came out, it was very impressive.
It needed a very hefty 486 if I remember well, so I couldn't play it.
Years later, when I got a more powerful box, I tried playing it again, but the game speed was proportional to cpu speed I think so it was unplayable...
I should give it another go in dosbox!
- anilakar 6y agoIt was written in assembly and required a boot disk to squeeze every available kilobyte out of the 640 a computer was guaranteed to have back then.
- Agingcoder 6y agoNo, it was released in 1992 and lots of pcs had more than that at the time. It required a 386 (ideally 33mhz) with 4 megs of ram (I found the installation manual on an abandonware site), and was super fast on a 486.
- Narishma 6y agoYou could try PCem with a period-accurate configuration instead of Dosbox.
