The metaverse needs responsible stewardship
- rektide 6y agosomewhat long opening but probably a necessary intro. the title scared me but it does end up about being shared stewartship. I still wonder if that's enough to ever make more than an incremental slow impact, whether it really begets a bigger, interesting form. the metaverse needs robust distributed un-concensus based ways of letting opinions form & present themselves. we need less stewartship & more people trying to actively explore steering their own boats. a lot more "create more value than you capture", by far, for the tech to ever be able to richen itself & become a primordial place that endless good new ideas & collaborations can spring from. last shout out, I hope projects like aframe help blend the webverse & the spatial ybernets a little better together. I want to see a page like a room in a mud, with things in it, people mulling about.
