Alfred Aho taught my Software Engineering I and II courses at Columbia University when I was an undergrad, and they were my favorite Computer Science courses. He was a great, compassionate teacher, with a mix of theoretical and real world instruction. Really a highlight for me. Glad to hear he won the Turing Award.
