The Overedge Catalog: Misfit Research and Tech Organizations
- mattgreenrocks 6y agoTo the author: thank you for collecting these! After many years, I finally figured out I'm most at home, job-wise, in a research-oriented engineering capacity. I highly recommend it to people wanting to dig into CS more. My current gig is at a government contractor that specializes in research. (Email me if you'd like to know more; username @ Google's mail service.) To the point: is it worth listing for-profit organizations that work in this area? It would have helped past me a huge amount simply to know that there are places like this out there.
- arbesman 6y agoThanks so much! I'm glad you appreciate this. I'll reach out separately to learn more about your current position. And there are a number of for-profit organizations included, though I tried to focus on ones that are more unorthodox than traditional startups.
