Douyin: Much More Than Just China's TikTok
- mettamage 6y agoIt's scary to read how much these features are made to increase user engagement. I'm seeing an increasing trend of users being too addicted to their social media apps. I wonder to what extent companies are okay with users being more addicted. It might mean that the populations in countries where social media apps are prevalent are actually becoming more mentally ill (as addiction implies that too much of something is happening).
