How to detect common types of scams
- BlameKaneda 6y agoIf a non-tech savvy or elderly person is doing a screenshare with a scammer and that scammer is showing them a website that's been modified with dev tools (i.e. changing the bank account value to a misleading number), how can the victim diagnose it? A site that's been discreetly edited with dev tools can be difficult to spot, I think. It was either a Jim Browning or another YouTuber's video where the scammer did that, and I wonder how many others have fallen victim.
