Tesla mentioned similar in their battery presser a few months ago. One question that I have with the whole concept is if a "structural battery" means you have to throw out the whole car once the battery is EOL. I would hope Tesla is better than this, but could totally see this happening, since it's the model many laptop manufacturers are going for and it generally benefits them to push consumers to refresh laptops/cars more frequently.
