Paper Instructions Suck
Is it just me? Or do companies just deliberately print copious amounts of product instructions? Don't they know that 98% of consumers throw instructions away after one-time use?
What do you do with your paper instructions from IKEA, recipes from meal kits, product user manuals, etc?
- zzo38computer 6y agoI keep them (at least as long as I still have the product that it is the instructions of), since I sometimes refer to them later. Depending on the product, the instructions might fit on the box, so that you do not need to waste additional paper, though. Some will need many more instructions, though.
- arnabbarua 6y agoI find it super wasteful! I remember when I was a child, my parents bought all new appliances for our new home. My father gave me a stack of user manuals, warranty paper, troubleshooting guides, etc., to me and said "store them somewhere safe". Me, being a 12-year old, did not store them with any regard to the future. They were all over the house haha! Where do you typically store them? Junk drawer? Filing cabinet?
- zzo38computer 6y agoI store them with the product if that would make sense (in some cases it does), otherwise in a filing cabinet.
