I find it perplexing that you describe catholicism as progressive, since it maintains strict sexual purity standards, a male clergy, anti abortion and homosexuality etc.(Perhaps I misread you) Isnt it true that SA is having extreme growth of the prosperity gospel form of fundamentalism too?
