This is a terrific article. But this statement: "But to keep those truths to yourself is to take on a responsibility you were never trained to bear." His entire argument is that no one could figure out a way to redistribute income from the winners to the losers after the free trade. Maybe the truth these policy makers know is that telling the truth would lead to them losing their jobs. That's more or less the same thing for both involved groups "economically." But, I love this discussion. Well done.
