I think they are being generous here: "Yet in some cases, as in working with Purdue Pharma, maker of the addictive painkiller OxyContin, their moral compasses go haywire. That is most likely because of the lure of lucre." Does the author really think that in only 'some cases' partners put their own financially benefit ahead of morals and ethics? I have yet to work with any big consulting firm who's number one goal was anything other than running up billable hours.
