Why was LibreOffice forked? Wouldn't it be beneficial to roll these changes directly upstream?

  It’s confusing, but it’s not really a fork but just a rebrand. (Collabora Online is a fork of LibreOffice Online I ... think.)

    Yes, and most of the LibreOffice Online work has actually been done by Collabora, and it is upstreamed

      When I google "LibreOffice Online", it's some old unmaintained repo; I can only find "Collabora Online". But whatever, maybe I google wrong

  Collabora is roughly to LibreOffice what RedHat is to GNU/Linux.

  95% of LibreOffice Online commits were made by Collabora anyway, they mostly just wanted some recognition for their work I suppose.
