unfortunately a lot of people have a hard time realizing 99% of the content they're exposed to is pointless and solely meant to waste your time/put you into a heightened emotional state. lot of mental illness on social media/twitter brought on by getting baited into interacting with all the noise for the people using these platforms to build, I understand using them. for the rest of the users it's probably a net negative to themselves and the ones around them.
