I cannot fathom Bitcoin ever adopting Proof of Stake (PoS) like Ethereum. Bitcoin's community is far too dogmatic. I see PoW as a liability for the whole cryptocurrency system. For this reason I think the transition to PoS will be like the Whigs vs. the Republicans. One simply does not survive.
