The Bitcoin takes too much power narrative is absurd. It's clearly an anti-narrative by the media to maintain some FUD around cryptocurrency.
It's only that it isn't being fixed right now, but there are plenty of altcoins who are aiming to be fix this issue. You can just patch cryptocurrency to stop having this issue, same as any other software.

- iso1210 6y agoI don't care what you use your electricity for - mining bitcoins, folding proteins, running space heaters, watching porn, making aluminum What I do care about is that others are suffering because the externalities of your electricity usage isn't being captured and distributed to those suffering those externalities
