If cameras had a setup step similar to astrophotography systems, this wouldn’t be a thing. Dark frame to remove thermal noise, bias frame to remove noise in the ADC, and a flat frame to remove vignetting. I don’t actually see any of those as being difficult to implement - but I guess there’s also no market.

Most cameras remove a black frame from photos with a long exposure. I’m not sure about mobile phone cameras though.
