- geoah 6y agoTo be fair the US got downvoted as well in this case.
- redis_mlc 6y agoSame thing was studied for another Panama Canal. Also, Russia used nukes for excavating lakes, but the result was far dirtier than expected. (American farmers widely used dynamite in a line for irrigation ditches because it saved labor, and the falling dirt didn't cause mounds.)
- rurban 6y agoNevertheless they did even more crazy things, like putting nuclear destruction devices under the new skyscrapers in Chicago (Sears) and New York (WTC), and astonishingly even fired some of them off. In the center of a multimillion city. Nuclear was the solution to everything, problem is just how to hide such insanity. They managed so far.
