This is not an open and shut case. The organizations reporting this, The Australian Strategic Policy Institute(Aussie defense department), and The Victims Of Communism Foundation(!), are not unbiased nor are their methodologies uncontroversial.
- SyzygistSix 6y agoThe Australian Strategic Policy Institute is also funded by the US State Dept, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman. I don't doubt there is genocide and repression in Xinjiang but propaganda from propaganda outlets muddies the water.
- dj_gitmo 6y agoNeither the US State Department nor CIA have claimed there is genocide so I think there is still an open question.
