First off, this is a mouse study again. As far as I can tell the paper is just a concurrence paper with another recent study, of progeria mouse model(see below).
The data points to the limits of using rapamycin in progeria cases. In this case, the negative implications of using it in progeria, but still no negative consequesces in relatively normal patients with functional telomerase complexes were seen.
