I just got the new M1 Macbook air. Chrome worked pretty good on it, but I tried Safari and it was just so silky. So I decided to switch to Safari. I thought it was going to be a tough switch because I'm a heavy extension user but it was actually pretty seamless. Still lots of things don't work quite as nicely (Dashlane isn't as reliable, Hangouts you can't have backgrounds or share a select window, and other stuff too) but overall it's worth it I think.
