We've had FP, we've had OOP, the next paradigm to look out for is Data Oriented Programming. Tools like ECS with their systems and components have started to become rather popular in the gaming world, and is slowly spreading outside it while we find applications for it. I understand it's not the best tool for the job, and object oriented is most likely is here to stay, but we need to broaden our horizon so we have more tools where applicable!
