Free software: an idea whose time has passed
- ddingus 6y agoIf anyone does not agree to the terms, they remain free to avoid using the software. Got better terms? Great, put it out there same as anyone. Whether a particular idea has passed depends on users and their use value. Where that is high, the software will see interest and endure. What I see here is someone expressing their sentiments of it being of low use value to them. I disagree, and I suspect opinion to vary widely on this matter. Software freedom does not include assurances you will get what you want. It does mean many options to do what you want. I will be sure and add "beer" as I read future work from this author.
