Firefox is irrelevant. Which explains why they support things like this.
If you can't win by building better software you can win by bullying anyone else who does.

Although you are correct its windows desktop competitor has a low market share, there has been some shift towards Linux derivates such as Chromebooks that captured 10% market share in Q4 2020 and 5.3% in 2020 overall [2] [1] https://hostingtribunal.com/blog/linux-statistics/#gref https://hostingtribunal.com/blog/linux-statistics/#gref [2] https://www.geekwire.com/2021/chromebooks-outsold-macs-worldwide-2020-cutting-windows-market-share/ https://www.geekwire.com/2021/chromebooks-outsold-macs-world...
- djohnston 6y agoWait android isn't linux? Not a mobile dev, just always thought it was linux..
- pratikss 6y agoGNU/Linux is not limited to Desktop. It's magnitudes more relevant than Mozilla.
- hjiofdgojhi5489 6y agoLinux is the server/embedded/supercomputer OS. It is "relevant". I'm not sure RMS had much to do with that. Posting from Firefox on Linux, ~4% does not make something "relevant".
- restingrobot 6y agoYou're looking at market share among consumers. Check server marketshare and come back.
