I did the same, but with a 3070. I was going to buy all new parts anyhow, and this saved me a lot of hassle, so it was worth the extra money IMO. I still didn't like doing it. It's the first pre-built desktop that I've bought ever. And the first one I've owned since middle school. But I was sick of waiting and wouldn't pay a scalper.
