You can build anything in any programming language, even byte code/assembly if you're so inclined. What you end up using is the one that can do the job faster.

You can build anything in any programming language, even byte code/assembly if you're so inclined. What you end up using is the one that can do the job faster. I built a custom web store yesterday entirely in mod Perl in 2 hours flat ( https://store.poidata.xyz https://store.poidata.xyz ). If you can beat that in some other programming language, like Python, by all means, stop using Perl.

Maybe you're interested in: * Performance optimization. * Maintainability. * Accessbility to more programmers (= fashion) * Conforming to organization policy on the language to use * Code readability etc. Different target function -> different considerations.
- eruci 6y agoAgreed. These are fair points of consideration. In my case though, the main one to consider is speed of development.
