For the record, the language is called Raku, whereas Rakudo is the compiler. Larry stepped back from Perl 5 a while ago, but used to actively contribute to Rakudo until 2017 or so. I haven't seen him around as much over the last couple of years, but then again, I also do no longer keep abreast of Raku development and might jsut have missed it...
