I wonder, what's the difference between this and all the distro-flavored versions there were before?
- seba_dos1 6y agoNone. The hardware is the same as with last Community Editions.
- fsflover 6y agoHowever the software is much more stable and diverse now.
- megous 6y agoDifferent magnetometer. Previous revisions also had minor changes, for example a resistor removal to prevent the backlight intensity changing when USB switches VBUS from sink to source mode, etc. Ever since pmOS the changes are very minor.
- ben-schaaf 6y agoThe only real difference is that this one doesn't contribute money towards a specific project. All the previous versions contributed $10 per purchase to their respective projects. Hardware wise it's been the same revision since the postmarketOS edition.
- fsflover 6y ago> Hardware wise it's been the save revision since the postmarketOS edition. Except the bug with the backlight [0] is still present and I sometimes see screen flickering at lowest brightness (although rarely). - linmob 6y agoNope, the hardware has not changed since the Manjaro Community Edition, Rev 1.2b. This one has a different magnetometer, part nr AF8133L instead of LIS3MDL which was not available; I am not sure if that warrants calling this one v1.2c or not.
- l72 6y agoIt appears that this version has 32GB eMMC storage vs 16GB and has 3GB SDRAM vs 2GB.
- runiq 6y agoThat's only if you get the Convergence package, which comes with a $25 docking station but is $50 more expensive.
- entropicdrifter 6y agoRight, so $25 for the docking station and $25 for doubling the EMMC size and adding 1 GB of RAM. Not the worst deal I've heard of.
- runiq 6y agoExactly, that's why I got one myself. :)
