I quit all social media in 2015, and reached similar conclusions to those of others. One thing I realized that doesn't get talked about much is that I was watering lots of dead flowers. It turned out that my posts on Twitter and Instagram were prompting others to interact with me. Without those regular prompts, I never again heard anything from those who used to comment on my posts. Without me posting first, in six years no one has reached out to find out what I've been up to or if I were even alive.
