Zero trust removes the concept of a “perimeter” or “boundary” with hardened entrypoints (vpns, bastions) and replaces it with a variety of different means of ensuring secure communications between users/services (think 2fa, mtls, tokens, endpoint security scoring, etc). They’re basically saying they do Zero Trust but in kind of in a weird way because if you’re doing it “right” it’s irrelevant if a connection traverses a corporate network or not since all connections more or less have to establish their legitimacy using a combination of the aforementioned methods.
