I was thinking through something recently. Here's where I think things are going:
- I suspect that air platforms will be littered with censors and massive amounts of data will be collected.
- This data will be used to train AI to complete missions.
- The USAF will start by augmenting human-led teams with AI flown aircraft.
- Polyglot teams consisting of platforms with different roles in the same mission.
All of this has led me to believe that the countries that engage in the most air missions (most combat active air force) could ultimately have AI models orders of magnitude better than other countries.
It would be great to hear someone who knows more than me (not hard) interrogate this idea. I've been captured by it and I'm meandering down the road of possibilities that start there.
