States considering new EV tax that tracks and taxes miles driven
- SkyMarshal 6y agoTLDR: Since EV's don't buy gas, they don't pay gas taxes, and thus don't contribute to state highway construction and maintenance funding. States are investigating alternative revenue sources for this, including tracking and taxing miles driven in EVs. This may have privacy implications.
