- perl4ever 6y agoI have a vague impression that there is generally a low barrier to calling yourself a salesperson. Like, if you are going to make your money on commission, there's no need for gatekeeping as is expected for a salaried job. When I've been unemployed, I've gotten solicitations that are crafted to sound like a "real" job, but are actually sales, and it doesn't appear they care about qualifications at all. I assume you sell stuff or you don't. And real estate agents I've met are very...variable.
