H3X says its electric motor performs at around 300% of the competition’s output
- rektide 6y agothey're measuring power output put weight, seemingly. some weight saving could help real system designs but there's not really clear wins on system efficiency stated here, beyond some reduced weight from integration the design is kind of interesting. the switching circuits are integrated into the motor. generally i'd consider this a bad & terrible idea, because it exposes the board to the motors thermals, it involves way more jerk (change in acceleration) & vibration. but it is kind of cool. it does reduce a variety of small losses. but ah... are those water cooling attachments? nothing like supremely kick ass cooling to jack up your power density!!! still have a hard time believing an integrated design in a win over discrete motor controller + motor, which stills seems like the core thing here. but maybe! and maybe it's just easier enough to use!
