My main takeaway is how 20miles/32kms is far from civilization. Not population, but civilization.
- jlv2 6y agoI toured that part of Iceland 2 years ago. That area is very desolate, even that close to the capital.
- nerdponx 6y ago"Very desolate" is an understatement. It feels like a set from a fantasy or sci-fi movie.
- mlindner 6y agoIceland's land area is reasonably large (about half the area of Great Britain) but it only has a population of ~340,000 people. It's really empty.
