PS3, Vita, and PSP stores to be permanently closed in a few months
- PaulHoule 6y agoI miss the PS Vita. I went through two of them, which were completely field repairable. (e.g. a five minute job to replace worn out buttons) The Switch is the "PS Vita 2" in terms of architecture: e.g. NVIDIA's idea of what a mobile gaming SoC looks like. It will be a long time until I get a Switch because there is a big back catalog playable on the New Nintendo 3DS which is itself an interesting line of architecture in which you could have a low performance CPU that stages data for a high performance CPU to bypass some of the "memory hierarchy" bottlenecks at the expense of the programmer/compiler/runtime scheduling memory access proactively on the "programmable memory controller" up front.
