‘Life-saving’ nose spray that kills 99.9% of viruses begins production in Israel
- 2rsf 6y ago> Each bottle contains a month’s supply for one person to spray twice a day for protection against viruses. So each spray kills viruses for 12 hours?
- airhead969 6y agoDoes hand sanitizer work for 12 hours? Think.
- 2rsf 6y agoof course not, that's why I was wondering about the effectivity of this life saving spray.
- chaorace 6y agotl;dr: It's a chemical called nitric oxide. You spray it up your nose and it is supposed to render most viral particles inert. Here's a quote from that article you should probably be aware of: > She acknowledged that the experiments took place outside the human body, in test tubes, and do not provide definitive proof of how effective the spray will prove in nasal passages So yeah... not exactly a miracle cure, in my layman opinion. Even if it does prove efficacious in human nostrils, it won't do much for, for example, mouth-breathers.
- nikolay 6y agoThe virus can be inactivated by many other fluids like electrolyzed water, hydrogen peroxide, ethanol, povidone iodine, etc., but spraying your nose will those will not protect you for long. I personally bought Fend [0] and use it after I get home and before going out. [0]: https://www.hellofend.com/ https://www.hellofend.com/
