Well, we do, it's just called the "copywriting department". :-) Literacy is important for modern business, some people are better at it than others, corporations pay such people to focus on literacy. Same goes for software development: yes, it's rapidly getting commoditised, but I don't think software development as a profession is going anywhere any time soon.
