An interesting argument but it doesn’t hold much water given the existing patronage of the arts from existing wealthy Chinese and Arab million/billionaires (to name just two very obvious examples).
Their post just reads as an attempt to inject race into the discussion in an attempt to prevent criticism.
- mellosouls 6y agoYes, I'm unconvinced as well. The fact that Beeple is a co-investor makes it all murky and not a good look for people claiming noble motives.
