Don't underestimate the seriousness of this. Comms infra is incredibly vulnerable to a small group of highly motivated attackers. A few guys with sniper rifles could take down substations, jeopardizing the whole grid. A few years ago Bruce Schneier and other security experts sounded like alarmists when they theorized about the possibility of hacks that could take down the power grid. It's not theoretical anymore, now you have a significant demographic of Americans that actually believe the sitting government to be illegitimately installed, and are willing to lay waste to the Capitol to make their point. This demographic is far more dangerous than any foreign adversary precisely because they are "among us", and are also well-connected, well-armed, highly motivated by increasing marginalization, thus fuelling their grudge.
