It's phenomenal. I use an M1 Air to develop a webapp with Rails + multiple independent large Webpack builds (Make sure your `node_modules` and other speed-sensitive folders are all in named volumes not bind mounts). It is insanely fast compared to my 2017 15", and battery can last all day even when using Docker, something unheard of on my last laptop.
